PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people have been charged after police say a man was stabbed and had his money stolen from him.
According to the Plains Township Police Department, on April 1, a man and a woman followed a man from the grocery store who had recently had foot surgery. The pair then helped the man with his groceries and followed him back to the motel where he was staying.
Officers say after 30 minutes in the room together, one suspect, Alexander Joze Wheeland, 24 of Wilkes-Barre, pulled a knife on the victim and said, "It's your pockets or your life."
