One of two men sentenced in Sunbury shooting

SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One of two men sentenced in the case of a deadly shooting in Sunbury now knows the penalty he must pay.

The shooting happened last August outside the Northumberland County Courthouse. 20-year-old Dayveon Creel was shot and killed.

24-year-old Naseir Robinson pleaded guilty last month to misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and false reports. He received 23 months in prison minus time served.

21-year-old Carnel Shelbourne Jr., of Nescopeck, pleaded guilty to those same charges. His sentencing was delayed.

The accused shooter, 26-year-old Denarii Springs of Northumberland, is on the run.
