WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — 28/22 News is learning more after a rodent infestation at a local school caused concerns.
The problem surfaced last week at West Hazleton Elementary-Middle School.
Evidence of rodents and insects was found in dry storage and food prep areas.
Rodent infestation shuts down school kitchen
Today, Hazleton Area School Superintendent Dr. Brian Uplinger tells 28/22 News the kitchen has now officially passed inspection and is fully operational.
He says meal services will resume as normal, since the kitchen passed inspection.
