SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Crews were called back Friday morning to North 17th Avenue after the attic was smoldering.
According to Lackawanna County Communications Center, first responders were called to the 300 block of North 17th Street in Scranton after a reported structure fire that spread to another house was called in just after 11:00 p.m.
Three people were able to get out safely from the one home when flames first broke out around 11:30 p.m., according to a Scranton fire official.
Officials say that a man who lives next door in the other home that caught fire was sent to the hospital with injuries.
His condition is unknown at this time.
There is still no word on what sparked this fire.
