NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Schuylkill County man is dead after a police pursuit Saturday afternoon.
Troopers say 43-year-old Matthew Williams, of Frackville, fled a traffic stop in his 2017 Kia Rio and traveled south on State Route 61 just before 3:00 p.m.

The release states that Williams traveled along State Route 61 for approximately a quarter mile before he neared the intersection of the Cressona mall where he rear-ended a black SUV causing a multi-vehicle crash.
Williams died at the scene from his injuries, while several of the other occupants involved in the crash were sent to the hospital for various injuries, according to the release.
