SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a person has died after a motorcycle crash that occurred on Easter in Monroe County.
On Sunday, April 20, around 6:00 a.m., police say they responded to a motorcycle crash on Stream Lane in Smithfield Township. They say it was later determined that a motorcycle lost control on a curve, traveled off the road, and hit a utility pole.
Fire officials warn of increased forest fire risk
On April 23, police say Michael Crumpler succumbed to his injuries from the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
