HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Police are investigating a reported shooting Thursday evening in Hazleton.
According to the Hazleton City Police Department, officers were called to the Beech Street Playground for a report of gunshots followed by people screaming at 5:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, witnesses informed policer that the victim had been transported by a private vehicle, treated, and released for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone in the area of Beech Street Park to check their security cameras for any footage connected to the shooting.
This is considered an active investigation, according to officers.
