WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The City of Wilkes-Barre’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival is happening. Find out the events and vendors that will be there this weekend.
The annual Cherry Blossom Festival will take place Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Kirby Park, on Market Street.
The event will include over 40 food and retail vendors, amusement rides and games, and live entertainment.

Events for Saturday, April 26
Northeast Region Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Cherry Blossom 5K Walk or Run will kick off the day. Registration is from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Live entertainment at the Martz Pavilion will begin with a 10:00 a.m. celebration of World Tai Chi Day
Tommy Guns Band will perform from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Daddy-O & the Sax Maniacs will perform from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Events on Sunday, April 27
Wyoming Valley Striders 50th Annual Cherry Blossom 5-Mile Run begins at 9:00 a.m.

The Traveling Wilkes-Barreans will perform from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Huey’s Amusements will have family-friendly rides in the Kirby Park parking lot.
Pricing is as follows:
Friday, April 25, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.: preview night wristband is $18 all day
Saturday, April 26: Tickets are $1.50 each, $15 for 12 tickets, and $25 for 24 tickets; $40 for 48 tickets, and $75 for 96.
Sunday, April 27: $25 all-day wristband available
