Arrest made after drugs sold to middle school children

DALLAS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A 19-year-old has been arrested after police say he sold drugs to middle school-age children.

On April 1, the Dallas Township Police Department stated they began an investigation after getting a complaint that multiple juveniles got sick after using THC vape pens sold to them by an adult.

As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Avery Alexander, of Harvey’s Lake, was arrested and charged with criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of minors.

Two teens accused of committing multiple crimes

A search warrant was executed at Alexander's residence, where investigators say they seized the following:

Quantities of THC wax

THC vape pens

Marijuana

Psilocybin mushrooms

Dallas Township Police

Detectives said Alexander was selling illegal substances to middle school-aged children.

Alexander was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after failing to post the $27,500 bail.
