HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Luzerne County District Attorney states the body found burning in Hazleton over the weekend was a woman from Schuylkill County.
District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce says they are investigating the death of a Schuylkill County woman whose body was found burning around 7:00 a.m. on Club 40 Road in Hazleton.
Firefighters responded to a report of a mannequin on fire; however, after extinguishing they found the reported mannequin was a body.
This investigation later led detectives to a house on 137 Muir Avenue, where they spent the afternoon coming in and out of the home.

Police say the house is connected to the death, though they have not said how.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident.
"Based on what we know so far in the investigation, we do not believe this is a random attack, so no, there should be no danger to the public. This is an incident that a person was specifically targeted," Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce explained.
Acting Coroner Keating has scheduled an autopsy for April 29.
