WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they responded to an incident at Kirby Park during the Wilkes-Barre Cherry Blossom Festival for a victim who allegedly had a gun pulled on them and was struck in the face.
According to police, on April 26, around 7:30 p.m., officers located a juvenile female who said she went to get between her friend and the juvenile suspect who were having a verbal altercation.

Police say the suspect then brandished a gun and struck the victim in the face.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene, and the victim was treated by EMS personnel on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
