Weather Alert: Prepare for severe storms

(WBRE/WYOU) — There is a chance of severe weather on Tuesday with chances of hail, heavy rain, and wind in the evening.

A cold front will move across Pennsylvania on Tuesday night with scattered showers and thunderstorms. These storms have the potential to be strong with damaging winds, downpours and small hail. The best chance for rain will be through midnight. Then, any showers may taper off by morning. Temperatures could fall to near 50 by Wednesday morning.

Much cooler air could be here on Wednesday. Any morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine. High temperatures will be in the lower and middle 60s. The wind will be gusty.

Any sunshine on Thursday will fade behind clouds by the afternoon as the next storm system gets here. While there is the chance of an evening shower, a few more showers are possible Thursday night. Highs on Thursday will be near 70.

That storm system will move across the area on Friday. You can expect scattered showers and the chance of a thunderstorm. Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s.

Another round of rain is likely on Saturday. At times, some of the rain could be on the heavier side. Highs will be in the middle and upper 60s.

A lot of uncertainty is in the forecast on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Right now, we're expecting more clouds than sun with the chance of a few showers each day. Highs will be in the 60s. This forecast can change. We'll update you as we get closer.
