Jury seated, opening statements underway in Scranton homicide trial

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A jury is seated and opening statements are underway in the trial of a man accused of killing a 26-year-old during an armed robbery in Lackawanna County.

64-year-old Shelton Miles of Scranton is facing a slew of charges, including first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree murder.

Family members charged in death of 8-year-old

Last year in March, police say Miles shot and killed 26-year-old Jose Camilo outside of the Sunoco gas station on North Main Avenue.
