WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One of the suspects charged in the torture, murder, and burial of a woman in what police call "House of Horrors" is speaking out on Wednesday. The remains of 38-year-old Nicole Cuevas were found buried inside the home in South Wilkes-Barre.
Six people remain locked up on Wednesday, charged in connection with her murder.
The so-called "House of Horrors" at 142 Carlisle Street in South Wilkes-Barre: One of the people who lived there was Faith Beamer.
On Wednesday, she said she was "sorry."
Veteran police investigators tell 28/22 News they have never seen anything quite like the "House of Horrors."
The horrific revelations began to unfold in February of 2024.
When the remains of 38-year-old Nicole Cuevas were found buried in the basement of the Carlisle Street home.
Six people have been charged in connection with her torture, murder, and burial, including Desiree Linnette, Jason Race, William Wolfe, Sarah Doyle, who is Linnette's daughter, Faith Beamer, and Anthony Dixon.
Beamer was brought to Luzerne County court Wednesday morning for a status conference on her case.
It is the first time any of the suspects have said anything about what happened inside that house.
"Miss Beamer, anything to say about what happened in the house? We haven't talked since these allegations. Anything to say about what happened inside the house at the time?" 28/22 News I-Team Reporter Andy Mehalshick asked.
"It never should have happened," Beamer replied.
"What happened?" Mehalshick asked.
"A lot of [expletive] happened to her," Beamer stated.
"What about Debra Fox?" Mehalshick questioned.
"I'm sorry," Beamer said.
69-year-old Debra Fox was the longtime owner of the Carlisle Street home.
Her body was found in March of 2024 in a wooded area of the North Crossvalley Expressway in Wilkes-Barre.
Nobody has been charged in connection with her murder, but District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce says her death is connected to the house of horrors investigation.

"Miss Beamer, what happened to Debra Fox?" Mehalshick asked.
"I don't know," Beamer replied.
"Did you murder Miss Cuevas? Did you take part in that?" Mehalshick asked, but got no response.
There is yet another dark chapter to this story.
Anthony Cook from Luzerne County says he was kidnapped, held against his will in the same basement of the Carlisle Street home. He escaped.
Jason Race and Desree Linnette are charged with that crime.
Mehalshick spoke with the cook's sister, who says she knew Beamer.
"I only know her from the streets. I didn't really hang out with her. She seemed like a nice person. Like I never thought she would be able to do anything like this," the sister of kidnapping victim Patricia London said.
Gary Muchler lives across the street from the Carlisle Street home. He says the house was always a very busy place.
"I was surprised, but not really surprised. You know, nothing surprises me these days," Muchler said.
The DA says the investigation into the murder of Debra Fox is moving forward.
