Driver charged after wrong way crash kills passenger

CASTANEA TWP., CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report the driver of a wrong-way crash involving two cars that killed a passenger is facing charges.

According to PSP, 29-year-old Dwight Meyer was arrested on the following charges for his alleged involvement in a wrong-way crash;

Murder of the 3rd degree

Murder of the 3rd degree of an unborn child

Aggravated assault

Aggravated assault on an unborn child

Homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence,

Involuntary manslaughter

Driving under the influence

On April 9, troopers were called for a wrong-way driver traveling south in the northbound lanes on US 220 in Clinton County. State police were then told that two vehicles had crashed, and those involved were entrapped.

Through further investigation, police stated the wrong-way driver, Meyer, was going south in the opposite lanes when he collided with a car driven by a 28-year-old woman with a passenger inside identified as Evan Geisewite, 29, of Loganton.

Geisewite was later pronounced dead.
