LEHIGH TOWNSHIP, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Wayne County man has been charged after allegedly breaking into a home and attacking a person.
55-year-old Thomas Hermann, of Madison Township, is being charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and two counts of Burglary among other charges.
Troopers say that on April 30, they were dispatched to a residence in Lehigh Township after a home invasion with assault had taken place.
The release states that Hermann and another person broke into the residence and attacked the victim, hitting them over the head with a kitchen chair.
As they exited the residence the victim states that they threw a vacuum cleaner through the kitchen window.
Through investigation. Hermann was identified and arrested, but the investigation for the other person is ongoing.
Hermann's bail is set at $100,000 and is set for a court appearance on May 7 at 9:00 a.m.
