Organizations tour the various murals of Luzerne County

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The third annual "Arts in Motion Trolley Tour" hosted by The Street Art Society made its way through a part of Luzerne County.

The hour and a half tour through the Wyoming Valley gave art lovers a chance to check out 30-plus murals that have become an important part of NEPA's landscape.

They even got to meet some of the artists.

The event helped raise money for Street Art Society of NEPA, a non-profit working to create more murals across the Wyoming Valley.

"Anyone comes on the tour, anyone who is an art lover, interested in art, people who are just interested in our town our area, people who are looking for something new and unique to do. There is actually nothing like this trolley tour in the area right now so it is just a unique experience for people to get involved in," explained Maegan Zielinski, The Street Art Society of NEPA.

28/22 News Anchor Nick Toma was honored to be the emcee on board the trolley tour.

Street Art Society organizers say they're expecting another 10 murals to be finished this year.
