WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After the run came the parade that helps mark the start of the 54th annual West Pittston Cherry Blossom Festival.
The community staple is held along the banks of the Susquehanna River as a rite of spring.
The festival features plenty of family fun, including food trucks, dozens of local vendors, and live entertainment.

"We have basket raffles. We're going to be giving three scholarships out to Wyoming Area seniors, so we're excited about that," said West Pittston Cherry Blossom Festival Entertainment Coordinator Gina Malsky.
