RANSOM TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been charged with arson in connection to a fire that happened at the former Cascade Tissue Plant in Ransom Township on April 9.
Police say Dale Andrew Bettelli, 24, of Clarks Summit, has been charged with arson and other related charges after an investigation of a fire at the former Cascade Tissue Plant.

Around 4:00 a.m. on April 9, crews responded to the former Cascade Tissue Plant fully engulfed in flames, according to police.
According to the affidavit, police were able to place Bettelli at the scene of the fire by identifying Bettelli's car using security camera footage, cell phone data, and interviewing a volunteer witness.
Police say the witness who spoke with Bettelli said that "he feared returning to jail, as he had prior convictions related to arson".
Bettlli was arraigned with bail set at $150,000.
