WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Some good news to share with you: On Wednesday, we will mark "570."
May 7, the day that celebrates the 570 area code and the people who live in the area.
Organizers say that the NEPA area, which makes up 570, features a beautiful area to live and work, and play.
Hundreds of students learned more about Holocaust
Tuesday afternoon, the group was recognized by Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown, who is proclaiming Wednesday as 570 Day.
"We encourage everybody to share on social media what has changed from them in the last five years, maybe it's a new business or organization, new festival. There's so many things to share and love about the 570," Maegan Zielinski with the 570 Committee said.
This is the fifth year for 570 Day.
