HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Tuesday's weather caused flash flooding, damage to property, and first responders to be on scene for hours in Wayne County.
28/22 News Reporter Gianna Galli was in Honesdale, where flooding has significantly eased up, but the area still remains impacted by the storm.
You can see areas of flash flooding here at the intersection of Main Street and Fourth Street.
Large amounts of water here have since receded.

This spot is now back open to drivers, but was shut down tonight when conditions were much worse here.
And just up the road is Saint John the Evangelist Church, where flooding caused property damage.
Water could be seen streaming down Vine Street earlier this evening, where the church is located.
The heavy waters caused the piping and drainage system to burst and cave in.
Several sections of flash flooding in the community brought out first responders to tape off and shut down roads in the surrounding area.
Even borough officials 28/22 News spoke with locals who came out to check out the conditions for themselves.
They say Honesdale has a storm system problem that needs to be addressed.
"This stormwater infrastructure is so old, 50, 60 years old. We have been trying to get our hands around this massive issue, but because of the big rain events, it's too big for the borough to handle by itself," Honesdale Borough councilman Jim Hamill said.
"Being that Honesdale is basically main streets in the valley and it's surrounded by hills, water has to go downhill and it's going to come down fast," Interim Borough Manager Kevin Kundratic stated.
The borough says they have plans in place for newer infrastructure systems.
Kundratic also told 28/22 news Tuesday's flash flooding did not cause any injuries, but some people were displaced from their homes.
