HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Honesdale officials are taking action after this past week's damaging floods. Mayor Derek Williams signed an emergency declaration on Wednesday, the day after the storm hit.
Borough Council will hold a special meeting on Monday to ratify the declaration.
It comes after four inches of rain in just four hours caused flash flooding and severe damage.
Police investigating after two stolen vehicles recovered, attempted vehicle thefts
Borough leaders say they will review the emergency work that needs to be done and develop an action plan.
The meeting is on for Monday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Honesdale Borough Hall.
