SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It's a day to pamper mothers all across northeastern and central Pennsylvania. A popular way to do that is to take mom out for a meal.
That is what many families did on Sunday at Cooper's Seafood House. The Scranton-based restaurant hosted a Mother's Day brunch.
An estimated 175 people RSVPed for the event.
The buffet included what proved to be the most favorite item on the menu: A made-to-order omelette.
The most popular seafood choice was crab-stuffed flounder.

One mom there says her daughter made reservations for the delicious brunch.
"I'm just so thankful for everything, and everyone in my life, but especially my daughter so it's a special thing, a special time for us to, you know, do things for the day and that's what we'll be doing, many things so," said Nanci Walck, a mother.
"Well, it's really nice to see like all the kids like bonding with their moms in here, you know, because I've just been here for a while," 14-year-old busser and desk help at Cooper's Seafood House, Nathan Strelecki, said.
This is the second year for the Mother's Day brunch at Cooper's, and the second straight year it sold out in the Electric City.
