BUTLER TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— An investigation is underway after an elderly couple was found dead in their home Friday night in Schuylkill County.
According to a Pennsylvania State Police release, troopers called to the unit block of Turnpike Road for two people found dead in their home just after 9:30 p.m. Friday.

The victims were identified as a 74-year-old female and a 76-year-old male who were found to be husband and wife.
Troop L Major Case Team has been called in to further the investigation.
The identities of the victims have not been released as of 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
