ROARING BROOK TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— One woman is dead after she lost control of her car driving along Interstate 84.
According to a Pennsylvania State Police press release, 42-year-old Melanie Colazzo of Greentown, Pennsylvania lost control of car SUV traveling westbound just before 6:30 p.m.
Man charged in connection with shots fired, thefts
Troopers say that Colazzo was navigating a left curve when she lost control of her SUV traveling off the roadway before striking a sign, spinning counter clockwise, and barrel rolling down an embankment before coming to a stop.
Troopers say Colazzo died at the scene.
