TREMONT BOROUGH, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man has been charged with attempted criminal homicide after he shot a shotgun at someone in their car.
Police say they responded to reports of a shot fired at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on West Laurel Street in Tremont Borough.

According to police, Derek Weaver, 28, fired one shot at the back of the victim's truck that shattered the back window of the truck and cut the back of the victim's ear.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Weaver has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and other related charges. He was sent to Schuylkill County Prison, and bail was set at $75,000.
