The non-profit has been around for 130 years and has several programs that offer services to women, infants and children.
It also offers a guardianship program, a 211 helpline, and disaster relief plus, a food pantry, serving 17 counties in NEPA.
"What family service association does, especially with 211, it is something that isn't covered by anyone else so it really brings together a lot of other non profits to help maximize the dollars that are giving to all these non profits so I think the need is exponential," expressed Adam Thanfeld, board member.
About 120 people attended, it featured a 50/50 raffle and an online auction that ends Friday.
