HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A double shooting that leaves one man dead, another injured, and a third man in custody. It happened overnight at a bar in Hazleton.
Screaming, commotion, and gunfire spilled onto the street Sunday morning around 1:30 a.m. at Sazon Latino Bar and Restaurant II.
It was captured on Mary Despirito's Ring doorbell camera.
"And he stopped up by our vehicle in front of the house, and then we saw him, what appeared to be a shot fired," Hazleton resident Mary Despirito said.
Despirito lives three houses down from the bar where police found one man unresponsive on the bar floor. He died at the hospital.
A second shooting victim was alert and talking.
Despirito says the neighborhood she's called home for nearly four decades is only getting worse.
"It's not safe here anymore. It used to be safe, where you could leave your doors open and unlocked and not have to worry about anything," Despirito added.
Witnesses helped officers identify the shooter. Police arrested Jose Sandoval Perez a short time later.

He faces several charges, including theft of a firearm, carrying without a license, and reckless endangerment.
Investigators say the gun used in the shooting was stolen from a nearby home.
While police say the shooting was targeted and that there is no danger to the public, it is of little comfort to the woman who witnessed the crime.
"To even be here during the day by yourself, it's really scary. There's been multiple issues, and multiple times the cops have been here, and it hasn't been resolved," Despirito continued.
Hazleton police and county detectives are urging witnesses to come forward.
If you saw what happened, you're asked to reach out to detectives or message the department through the city's crime watch page.
Sandoval Perez is jailed without bail.
Police have not identified the man killed in the shooting or provided the name and condition of the other man who survived being shot.
