MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Ink, art, and community spirit were on full display in Moosic on Saturday. Wilkes-Barre Scranton Roller Derby turned their league's home base into a mash-up of local artistry, alternative culture, and roller skating.
Saturday's first-ever Tapped and Tatted spring fundraiser packed the Roller Derby Factory with flash tattoos, piercings, and more than 20 local vendors.
The event was put on in partnership with Voodoo Brewing Company and Melissa Rossi Tattoos, all to raise money for the nonprofit league.

"Being a part of the league is something that honestly keeps me going in life, we have a family here, we're kind of just a bunch of misfits that all support each other," Wilkes-Barre Scranton Roller Derby Member Chelsi Heinrich said.
The league, known as the Roller Radicals, relies on events to keep its season rolling.
They invite you to attend their upcoming tournament next weekend.
It's themed after the hit sitcom "The Office" and starts Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston.
