EFFORT, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are giving drivers some information on traffic patterns involving construction projects in the area of the upcoming Pocono Races.
State police say the Pocono Races are set to kick off on Saturday, June 21, and continues into Sunday, June 22.
Authorities explain that flaggers will be in Effort, Monroe County, at the 115 project to let Southbound traffic from the race to continue through on the following times:
Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Beyond 12:00 p.m. on Monday and for the overnight hours, troopers say Chestnut Township is letting drivers use White Church Road as an easier route to 715 Southbound, avoiding the sharp turn at the intersection of Sugar Hollow and 715, which will have signs for RV traffic to follow.

There will also be a message board on 115 near Sugar Hollow Road that will read "115 open to through traffic," authorities explain.
If the race is delayed, PSP says the measures will be in place on Monday evening and Tuesday morning as needed.
