Crafters, artisans take over mall for Craft and Home Decor Show

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Shoppers filled the Wyoming Valley Mall on Saturday, not for big-box deals, but for homemade treasures. More than 85 local artisans took over nearly every corner of the building for the Craft and Home Decor Show.

The event featured everything from tie-dyed clothing to gemstone jewelry, to goat soap creams and resin art.

"Every single event we get more vendors, we have a ton of interest, it's really great, and we actually have to cut it off at a certain point because we run out of room we have so many people interested," 4th Dimension Properties LLC Assistant General Manager Breanna Yashkus told 28/22 News.

"It's really good that the mall does this and gives vendors and small crafters an opportunity to come out and bring people back into the mall," Vendor Christopher Concert said.

This was the mall's second show of the year, and organizers say they already have another scheduled for November 15, just in time for holiday shopping.
