WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new ramen spot is now open in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
The authentic Japanese restaurant is open for business following its grand opening on Monday, June 9.
The restaurant already had a location in Tannersville open, now owner Eric Wahyudi is excited to open in the Diamond City.
"We are excited to bring diverse food to Wilkes-Barre."

Shinjiru Ramen will be open Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

There will be new items featured on the menu in the Wilkes-Barre location, including the crispy rice spicy tuna appetizer and a bento box.

Wahyudi says there are some favorites on the menu as well, including the Sapporo garlic butter ramen and the spicy garlic tonkotsu ramen.
"Wilkes-Barre is a very good, diverse city, and we want to introduce the Japanese culture and food to the neighborhood."
Wahyudi says they are expecting to receive their liquor license by next week.
Shinjiru Ramen is located at 41 South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre.
