SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Seniors at West Scranton graduated this evening with a special guest speaker.
Governor Shapiro congratulated the graduates and spoke about all the different paths to success the students can take, whether it is going straight into the workforce, enrolling in a trade school, entering the military, or going to college.
He also talked about all the investments his administration has made into the public school system.

"You are a great representation of the diversity of opportunity that exists right here in PA. Each of you, no matter what path you choose, has the opportunity now to be successful thanks to what you learned here at West," Governor Shapiro stated.
340 students graduated from West Scranton High School on Wednesday. Out of the 125,000 that will graduate across the commonwealth this year.
