NEPA Yoga Festival wraps up in Lackawanna County

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Movement, mindfulness, and a moment to breathe: The NEPA Yoga Festival wrapped up its final day on Montage Mountain in Scranton. The three-day event mixed yoga, meditation, and self-healing, aimed at giving anyone there a chance to recharge and grow.

More than 40 yogis of all levels unrolled their mats surrounded by holistic vendors, live music, and wellness talks.

"I mean we have people from out of state and all over coming here, just to all be together under this abundance, and that's the festival's theme, connection through abundance, and I truly believe that that has happened to me," Yoga Instructor Lisa Molendini told 28/22 News.

"I started thinking about my mom and my mom's mom and my family and how I wanted to stop the generational trauma, so I started doing yoga, I started reaching for that," Trauma-informed Buddha Yoga Instructor Susan Scarpiniti said.

The NEPA Yoga Festival is the largest one in the area, bringing together practitioners from across the region and beyond.
