Plymouth teen accused of using Snapchat to plan killing

PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Plymouth Police Department says a teenager is facing serious charges and is accused of using Snapchat to plan a killing.

Police say on Monday, they were alerted to an 18-year-old, Riley Young, who was messaging a 13-year-old boy through Snapchat, allegedly trying to make a plan to kill people.

Authorities explain that Young was taken into custody after a thorough investigation.

At this time, Plymouth police say there are no significant threats or apparent means to carry out said threats.

Young is now charged with corruption of minors and other related charges and was arraigned on Monday, with bail set at $25,000, officials say.
