SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A credit union in Scranton is closed until further notice after a truck crashed through the front doors and into its lobby Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to the Penn East Federal Credit Union in the 700 block of Davis Street just before 10:00 a.m. for a report of a truck in the lobby.
A representative for the credit union told 28/22 News that employees were in the building when the crash occurred, but was unsure if any customers were inside at the time. No one inside was injured.
The truck has been removed from the lobby but the representative says the building will be closed until further notice. They are expecting the drive thru to be operational Wednesday.
We are still waiting for more information on what led to the crash and the condition of the driver.
