Thursday is a Weather Alert day. It will be rather humid with a mix of clouds and sun. As a strong cold front approaches, showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and quickly end in the evening. These storms have the potential to be strong.
Main threats are damaging winds, torrential downpours and hail. In addition, there is a low-end chance that one of these storms could produce a brief, weak tornado. Thursday's highs will be in the upper 80s.
The humidity will drop a bit on Friday. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low 80s. There is a small chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm.
Big heat and humidity will make its return starting this weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny, warm and more humid. Highs will be in the mid 80s. We're tracking a disturbance that could give us a shower or thunderstorm Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Any morning clouds on Sunday will break for sunshine. The rest of the day will be hot as afternoon temperatures will be near 90.
Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid 90s. When you combine the humidity, it will feel like it's between 95 and 105 in the afternoon. Wednesday's highs will be near 90 with the chance of a shower or thunderstorm.
