WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Juneteenth celebrations have been happening across NEPA.
A block party wrapped up this evening on public square in Wilkes-Barre.
The block party was hosted by unity collective featuring small business vendors, music, community leaders, and interactive art.
Block party for Juneteenth kicks off in Scranton
Organizers say this event celebrated freedom, culture, and community.
"It's unity its community its the neighborhood it's all about us showing out and coming together and being one a lot of fellowship," said Tiffanie Bigbysabb, U.N.I.T.Y Collective Co-Founder.
Organizers say they hope to make this an annual event on Wilkes-Barres Public Square.
