Pennsylvania Tyson Foods warehouse facility to be acquired

POTTSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -- A Tyson warehouse facility in Schuylkill County will soon be acquired as part of a nearly $250 million transaction.

Back in April 2025, a global temperature-controlled warehouse REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) called Lineage Inc. announced plans to acquire a Tyson Foods warehouse facility located at 110 Keystone Boulevard East in Pottsville.

According to Lineage, they acquired the Pottsville warehouse and three others in Kansas, Illinois, and Arizona; totaling approximately 49 million cubic feet of warehouse space and 160,000 pallet positions, for $247 million.

These transactions are expected to close in Q2 of 2025.

Most recently, ahead of the ownership change, Tyson Warehousing Services, LLC filed a WARN Notice for the Pottsville warehouse, saying that 314 employees would be laid off on August 15, 2025.

According to a Tyson Foods spokesperson, this filed WARN Notice was a planned part of the acquisition process, and these 314 employees will be transferred to Lineage once the transaction is complete.

Altogether, Linage plans on onboarding over 1,000 Tyson Foods employees following this series of acquisitions.
