KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Public pools are packed as families look to stay cool during this heat wave. 28/22 News stopped by the Kingston Pool, where we found people of all ages cooling down and having fun.
The pool offers everything from slides to a splash pad. There's also a snack bar.
There are also membership deals for residents and non-residents of Kingston. Single daily swim passes are also available.
Tips for keeping our pets safe amid high temps
The pool is open until August, weather permitting.
"All the kids needed to get out of the house. They all needed to get out and swim and laugh, and everybody needed to get out," West Pittston resident Jamie Baloh said.
Experts still warn to take precautions outside in this historic heat. More than 145,000,000 Americans are in heat alerts.
