KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Fire crews removed a woman from a burning home after responding to a two-alarm fire in Kingston Tuesday morning.
According to the Kingston Forty Fort Fire Department, the call came in just before 7:00 a.m. for a report of a fire with entrapment in the area of 50 1/2 Payne Avenue.

The department says a woman in a second floor rear apartment, who called the fire in, was located and removed from the building. Additional crews and resources were requested to help fight the fire.
First responders are asking drivers to avoid the area of Payne Avenue and Main Street and expect activity from emergency personnel there for several hours.
The woman who was rescued was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown. Two other people in the front apartment are displaced and are being helped by Red Cross.
