PRINGLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A local animal shelter is getting a boost thanks to a longtime partnership with a Luzerne County bar.
Blue Chip Farms held one of its most important fundraisers of the year at Keeley's Alehouse and Grille in Pringle.
It is the ninth year for the event that's held each June.
They had basket raffles, t-shirts for kids and adults, and a 50/50.
The bar is also donating 20% of food sales back to the shelter.
Volunteers say the fundraiser will bring in around $2,000.
That's a big help for a shelter that runs nearly 30 fundraising event each year.

"It's the only way to raise money is through these events and to help take care of the animals. Our bills are $350,000 a year minimum," explained Cordelia Braun, Fundraising Director, Blue Chip Farm.
"My best memories are from being there when I was younger. People are so sweet there. I made so many friends. They're welcoming of everyone, and it's just they take care of their animals so well. They're just like you can feel how loved they are. It's just so nice," said Dallas resident Amelia Robison.
Blue Chip says the money raised will help cover food, medical care, and supplies to help keep animals safe while they wait for a forever home.
