Community program celebrates six years in Monroe County

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A community caring company is celebrating six years in NEPA.

Stroudsburg Today is marking the special occasion for Pocono 3C.

Representatives from several non profits were on hand including Street to Feet and Pocono Television Network.

Wyoming Valley Mall closed for 2nd consecutive day

They recognized Elisha Spencer, who works at the Waste Authority's Military Road location.

He successfully went through the program that features no barrier employment with same-day-pay putting Street to Feet clients to work as part of an anti-littering initiative.

"It feels daggone good to wake up and not have to worry about where the next meal is gonna come from and I have a full bank account. My bills are paid and my daughter has a lot of technology, a lot of teenage stuff that makes them stay home and play games all day. Haha," explained Elisha Spencer, Waste Authority employee.
