SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Lackawanna County man is arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot a retail store employee on Monday.
35-year-old Daniel Hayes, from Scranton, has been charged with Misdemeanor counts of Terroristic Threats, Disorderly Conduct, and Harassment.
According to a criminal complaint, officers responded to the Walgreens along South Main Avenue in Scranton for a man who threatened to shoot an employee.
Officers spoke to an employee who said that Hayes bought a two liter of Cherry Coke, asked why that employee was laughing, but the employee states they were not laughing.

Hayes then said, " I am going home to get a gun and come back and shoot you."
Hayes then promptly left the store and walked south on South Main Avenue.
Officers then received a call just after 7:00 p.m. stating that Hayes returned to Walgreens, and that the store was being put on lockdown.
Hayes was then arrested at a nearby Sunoco and admitted he bought a 2-liter of Coke at the Walgreens.
