WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local furniture store is now back open after a power outage at the Wyoming Valley Mall.
Ashley Furniture says thanks to a giant generator, they've got their lights back on and their doors are open.
Part of Route 309 closed in Schuylkill County
They lost power after officials said the mall's central station suffered severe damage to its underground power lines, likely from a possible lightning strike, though that has not been confirmed.
The Wyoming Valley Mall itself will remain closed through the weekend, but they expect to be open by Tuesday.
