WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — 28/22 News has an update on the massive sinkhole that opened up in our area this week.
28/22 News stopped by Horton Street in Wilkes-Barre Saturday to check on the progress of repairs after what's believed to be a stormwater backup caused the collapse.
Threat of thunderstorms possible for Saturday afternoon
The road is still closed, and the area is now fenced in, surrounded by construction equipment.
Work is wrapped up for the day, and repairs are expected to take several days or possibly weeks.
