(WBRE/WYOU) - 28/22 News was off the air for several hours Wednesday due to a power outage in Wilkes-Barre.
A natural gas leak in downtown Wilkes-Barre caused utility crews to cut power to areas of of the Diamond City around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Due to the nature of this incident, WBRE and WYOU were not transmitting a broadcast signal, resulting in disruption of programming to viewers.
28/22 News crews worked to restore the signal as utilities workers deal with gas and power issues about a block away at the intersection of West Market and South Franklin streets.
As of around 5:00 a.m. Thursday, the broadcast signal was operational.
