WILKES-BARRE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a woman was arrested after she allegedly smashed her landlord's head with a rock when he tried to collect late rent.
According to the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department, 60-year-old Kathleen Venegas was arrested after an assault on her landlord.

The victim suffered significant injuries.
Venegas is charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses. She remains in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility with bail set at $50,000.
