Speakers, war re-enactors, and descendants of those who lost their lives were among those who gathered at the Wyoming Monument.

"This is part of our history. This is the beginning of our history. This is very very wonderful considering we are kicking off the 250 anniversary of the American Revolution next year, this is extremely important for the community to come out," voiced Jeffery Smith who portrayed a regimental surgeon.

The event was first held in 1878, 100 years after the local battle which was fought in 1778.
