Police investigating in Schuylkill County after 15-year-old struck by car, sent to hospital

KLINE TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are investigating an incident in Schuykill County that sent a 15-year-old boy to the hospital after being struck by a car Saturday afternoon.

Schuylkill County officials confirmed with 28/22 News emergency crews were called to the 1000 block of Mile Hill Road in Kline Township just before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Kline Township Police Department Detective Paul Bowman told 28/22 News a 15-year-old boy was struck by a car and taken to a Philadelphia children's hospital for treatment.

Detective Bowman added the Pennsylvania State Police crash investigation crew documented the scene, and the incident is under investigation at this time.

Officials say their condition is currently unknown, and the roadway was closed for only 20 minutes before being reopened.
